Job Description

Altoros is looking for a Senior Product Engineer.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to backend services and APIs using AWS Serverless technologies (Node.js, TypeScript, Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB).
• Lead frontend feature development using React and TypeScript, building responsive and intuitive user interfaces.
• Integrate frontend experiences with backend services to deliver seamless, performant products.
• Act as a highly hands-on engineer, spending the majority of time actively writing and shipping production-quality code across the stack.
• Work closely with product managers and designers to translate user problems into elegant technical solutions.
• Design, build and maintain automation workflows using n8n or similar low-code automation platforms.
• Evaluate, prototype and integrate AI tools and models into product features.
• Champion a pragmatic best practice in code quality, testing, security, performance, and CI/CD. Ensuring we maintain standards but acknowledging that the team's work doesn’t need to be production ready.
• Take the lead for engineering to contribute and shape ideas for the team, working alongside UX and Product.
  

Requirements

• Strong experience with React and TypeScript, with 7+ years of hands-on commercial experience.
• Backend engineering experience with Node.js and serverless/cloud architectures.
• Hands-on experience with automation tools such as n8n.
• Experience integrating AI tools, APIs or machine learning models.
• Product-focused mindset with strong collaboration skills.
• Experience of working in a start-up or scale-up environment.
• Upper-intermediate English or higher. Candidates must be able to work UK timezone.
