Job Description

Caseware is a global leader in cloud-enabled audit, assurance, and financial reporting solutions, helping accounting and assurance professionals work smarter with data they can trust. 

As a Software Developer II at Caseware, you will join a team of experienced developers to drive the development of cutting-edge, cloud-based solutions that are revolutionizing the way financial audits are performed worldwide. You will work closely with Product and Design to deliver on our exciting roadmap and drive iterative improvements across the entire software development lifecycle.  

You will be part of the Data Analytics department, committed to delivering state-of-the-art data lifecycle management and analytical solutions that enable our global distributor network to develop and customize products that meet their market needs. The squad you will join is responsible for developing a Cloud Data Analytics platform capable of running thousands of concurrent import and analytics jobs in parallel across different workloads.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Own key features and architectural improvements end-to-end, from design and technical discovery through implementation, testing, and production support. 
  • Make hands-on code contributions to critical services, pipelines, and frameworks, using modern cloud-native patterns and technologies. 
  • Partner closely with Product and Engineering to clarify requirements, surface technical uncertainty, and clearly communicate trade-offs and risks. 
  • Participate in design discussions for the majority of features the squad undertakes. 
  • Identify, prioritize, and resolve critical technical and operational risks across the platform, including performance, scalability, data quality, and cost. 
  • Champion engineering excellence by ensuring trunk/master remains green, stable, and deployable through strong CI/CD, testing, and operational practices. 

  • What You Will Bring
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Angular 16+, Java 17+ (Spring Boot), microservices architecture, and developing enterprise SaaS applications on AWS. 
  • Ability to work with minimal direction and own features from design through implementation and release. 
  • Experience leveraging the latest generative AI models and techniques to accelerate and automate your development workflows. 
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with CloudOps, DevOps, Product, Design, and other stakeholders. 
  • Keen attention to detail and a commitment to continuously improving the software development lifecycle. 
  • Strong English language communication and collaboration skills
