In this role, you will play a key part in shaping MoonPay’s product strategy data, specifically in the customer onboarding journey, combining deep analysis, experimentation, and strong stakeholder partnerships to drive meaningful business impact.
You will sit within the Data Science team and work closely with Product & Engineering, taking ownership of analytics across the full product lifecycle, from defining problems and success metrics, through to launching, measuring, and optimising products at scale.
Your work will directly influence product strategy, customer experience, and key business outcomes, enabling teams to make better, faster decisions through trusted insights, clear narratives, and scalable data products.

What You Will Do
Provide insights and recommendations based on a deep understanding of MoonPay flows and be able to identify and drive new opportunities for product improvements & enhanced customer safety
Work closely with the product teams and business stakeholders to review product performance and deliver data driven strategies for increased product performance.
Define KPIs, design tracking and set up monitoring for new product launches & changes.
Oversee and implement A/B tests and other experiments to drive forward optimization efforts
Design, build and scale both internal and external data products, which drive informed decision making, examples include: dashboards, reports, data models, algorithms, integrations into other product lines.
Communicate complex concepts and findings to technical and non-technical audiences across different teams, while ensuring clarity and understanding to drive critical business decisions.
About You
Must-have experience and skills:
4+ years of hands-on experience as a data scientist or data analyst, preferably in a product-focused role.
Advanced SQL, data modelling, and data visualisation tools are second nature to you.
An understanding of the fundamentals of statistics and probability, including experience in conducting large-scale A/B tests.
You have experience working cross functionally with product and operation teams
Experience working within the fintech and/or crypto space is preferred
You have the versatility and willingness to learn new technologies on the job and adapt quickly to changing priorities within a very dynamic environment.
Exceptional communication skills and can clearly summarise complex data findings and decisions to various levels of audiences.
Nice-to-have experience:
Experience with dbt, BigQuery, Looker, Python
Experience working in start-ups or scale-ups
Experience working within the KYC / Onboarding space
