Our Client

Our client is on a mission to be the category-defining global platform for connected risk, continually elevating customers through innovation. Founded by enterprise audit, risk, and compliance professionals who experienced the challenges of managing internal controls and fieldwork manually, they developed a platform to transform how organizations manage risk. Today, the platform is trusted by over 50% of the Fortune 500, empowering them to streamline their risk management processes.

Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable features for a critical Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) platform using Ember.js (v6.6) on the frontend and Node.js with Hapi on the backend.
  • Develop and optimize microservices to handle complex audit workflows, risk assessments, and regulatory reporting, ensuring high availability and data consistency.
  • Design efficient database schemas and complex queries using PostgreSQL and Sequelize ORM to support large-scale enterprise data.
  • Maintain a high standard of code quality by writing comprehensive automated tests using Vitest and Mocha for unit testing, Ember Exam for load balancing, and Playwright for end-to-end (E2E) verification.
  • Manage containerized environments using Docker and maintain build/deploy pipelines via GitHub Actions within an AWS cloud environment.
  • Collaborate with product owners to translate complex GRC requirements—such as SOX compliance rules or third-party risk logic—into robust technical solutions.

Must-Haves

  • Proven experience building complex web applications using Node.js and TypeScript in a professional environment.
  • Deep proficiency with Ember.js (ideally recent versions/Octane edition), including a strong understanding of data handling, routing, and component architecture.
  • Experience building RESTful APIs and microservices, with specific familiarity with Hapi.js or similar Node frameworks (like Express or Koa).
  • Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL and experience working with ORMs like Sequelize to manage data interactions.
  • Demonstrated experience with modern testing tools such as Playwright, Vitest, and Mocha to ensure code reliability and performance.
  • Advanced to Fluent English level for daily communication with US-based clients and stakeholders.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Previous experience working in FinTech, LegalTech, or specifically with GRC (Governance, Risk, and Compliance), SOX audits, or risk management platforms.
  • Experience upgrading Ember applications or working with Ember 6.x features.
  • Hands-on experience configuring AWS services and tuning GitHub Actions pipelines.
  • Experience dealing with large datasets and optimizing ORM queries for speed and efficiency.
