About the Role:

We’re looking for a new member of the team (currently around 27 people) who is passionate about sales, tech-savvy and understands the Scientific markets.

You will be responsible for increasing customer renewal rates, optimizing customer usage, and growing revenue by identifying and developing upsell opportunities through consultative, needs-based account management. You’ll work closely with our Customer Success and SDR teams to maximize account retention and uncover new growth potential.

This role focuses on managing a global portfolio of small to mid-market clients (1-200 employees), requiring a well-organised, strong communicator to help customers achieve their goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Increase renewals of accounts by building strong relationships and addressing customer needs
  • Identify and capitalise on upsell opportunities within existing accounts to drive additional revenue
  • Develop and execute strategic account plans to expand usage and adoption across different teams within current customers
  • Working closely with the Customer Success and SDR teams to maximize account retention and identify growth opportunities
  • Consistently close deals, hitting sales targets and exceeding quota
  • Engage with sales and marketing decision makers to demonstrate how SciLeads can drive revenue for their business
  • Own, report and forecast sales activity
  • Attend Scientific Tradeshows (though only if travel is your thing)

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Currently in an Account Management role (with 3-5 years’ prior experience in Sales / Business Development)
  • Strong relationship-builder, comfortable owning accounts and thinking long-term
  • Life Sciences/ Science degree or background
  • Experience working in a fast-paced sales environment
  • Excellent communication skills (both oral and written)
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • High level of drive and a competitive mindset
  • Positive attitude, high energy, and a sense of urgency

Desirable Skills and Experience:

  • Fluency in one or more additional languages is highly desirable
  • Experience in SaaS sales
  • Familiarity with sales methodologies such as the Sandler methodology
