Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and infrastructure in a fully remote environment. The successful candidate will support data-driven decision-making by ensuring the availability, reliability, security, and performance of data systems across the organization.

This position is strictly limited to candidates who currently reside in the United States and are legally authorized to work in the U.S. Applications from individuals residing outside the United States will not be considered.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes

Build and optimize data warehouses, data lakes, and data integration frameworks

Ensure data quality, integrity, security, and governance across platforms

Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and software engineers to support analytics and reporting needs

Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data infrastructure performance

Implement best practices for data modeling, version control, and automation

Support real-time and batch data processing solutions

Maintain technical documentation and data architecture standards

Required Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field

Minimum of 4–7 years of experience in data engineering or related roles

Strong proficiency in SQL and at least one programming language (Python, Java, or Scala)

Experience with data warehousing technologies (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery)

Hands-on experience with ETL tools and workflow orchestration platforms

Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Ability to work independently and effectively in a remote environment

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with big data technologies (Spark, Kafka, Hadoop)

Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance best practices

Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices

Experience supporting machine learning or advanced analytics workloads
