We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Cloud Engineer to design, build, and maintain our globally distributed, high-scale Intelix cloud services. You will drive development, automation, reliability, and operational excellence across our AWS-based infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines, enabling safe, seamless, and frequent releases.
You’ll work as part of a small, autonomous agile team with a strong focus on open communication, quality, and continuous improvement—both in our products and in your own professional growth. Our stack primarily uses Linux, Python, and AWS technologies.
Work is primarily remote, with occasional in-person team and social events.
What you will do
Participate in the full development lifecycle: planning, development, testing, automation, releases, and ongoing maintenance (YBIYRI)
Implement observability, monitoring, alerting, and automated rollback strategies for safe rollouts
Collaborate effectively, proactively removing impediments and supporting team progress
Manage, scale, and optimize AWS-based infrastructure
Build and maintain deployment workflows ensuring zero downtime for stateless, high-volume services
Drive automation in scaling, configuration management, and release processes
Mentor and support junior engineers
What you will bring
Full English proficiency, spoken and written
Minimum 2 years of Python development experience
Proven ability to deliver reliable, maintainable, well-tested code
Strong understanding of CI/CD principles and modern deployment practices
Experience with container technologies (Kubernetes is a plus)
Hands-on experience with AWS services and cloud architectures
Proficiency in scripting and automation (Python, Bash, or similar)
Excellent communication and cross-team collaboration skills
Curiosity and ability to learn new technologies quickly
Desirable
Experience as a Team Lead or Scrum Master
Leveraging AI in development
Understanding of stateless architectures and high-volume scaling strategies
Infrastructure as Code experience (CloudFormation, CDK, Terraform)
Background in monitoring, logging, and incident response
Knowledge of cloud security best practices
Experience with high-scale, low-latency distributed systems
Familiarity with chaos engineering and advanced resiliency testing
