About the Job:

We are looking for a Senior Director, Engineering (Head of Engineering) to lead our client's engineering team in building scalable software products and platforms. In this role, you will oversee product engineering delivery, provide technical direction, and foster a high-performing engineering culture. You will work closely with Product, Data Science, and executive leadership to translate behavioral science expertise into reliable, AI-enabled software solutions while ensuring client trust, data sensitivity, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end engineering delivery for product and platform initiatives.
• Translate product strategy into actionable engineering plans and milestones.
• Build and mentor a high-performing engineering team, defining roles, expectations, and career paths.
• Provide architectural guidance across applications, data platforms, and integrations.
• Collaborate with Data Science and Product to integrate AI and analytics into production-ready solutions.
• Ensure engineering practices support reliability, scalability, and innovation.
• Partner with IT, Security, and Compliance to align infrastructure and operational standards with business needs.
• Monitor delivery health, quality, and team performance, improving workflows and tools where necessary.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field (Master's Degree is preferred).
• 10+ years of experience in software engineering with leadership of product engineering teams.
• Experience scaling engineering organizations or leading transformations in growth-stage companies.
• Background in SaaS, analytics, data platforms, or complex client-facing systems.
• Strong technical expertise in software architecture, cloud platforms, and AI/ML integration.
• Ability to operate at both strategic and execution levels while fostering a pragmatic, low-ego leadership style.
• Experience working in regulated or data-sensitive environments is a plus.
• Willing to work US business hours (graveyard shift).
