The Manager of the Technology Vendor Management Program is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end lifecycle of technology supplier relationships, sourcing strategies,license consumption management and contract negotiations. This role ensures that the organization maximizes value, minimizes risk, and maintains compliance across all technology-related vendor engagements. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with strong commercial acumen, deep knowledge of technology vendor sourcing, and proven experience optimizing vendor performance.
What you will do
Vendor Management
Develop and maintain strong relationships with key technology vendors and service providers.
Lead regular vendor performance reviews, including SLAs, KPIs, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Oversee vendor onboarding, due diligence, compliance checks, and risk assessments.
Manage escalation processes for underperforming vendors and drive corrective action plans.
Technology Procurement
Oversee full procurement lifecycle for hardware, software, cloud services, and IT professional services.
Partner with technical teams to understand requirements and identify optimal sourcing strategies.
Execute RFPs/RFIs/RFQs, evaluate proposals, and guide vendor selection processes.
Ensure procurement policies, procedures, and best practices are followed across the organization.
Contract & Commercial Management
Lead contract negotiations, renewals, and amendments to secure favorable terms and cost efficiencies.
Maintain centralized vendor and contract documentation, renewal calendars, and compliance records.
Collaborate with Legal, Finance, Security, and other stakeholders to mitigate legal, financial, and operational risks.
Analyze total cost of ownership (TCO) and identify opportunities for cost optimization.
Governance & Reporting
Implement and manage vendor governance frameworks and procurement process improvements.
Develop and deliver regular reporting on vendor performance, spend, risks, and strategic recommendations.
Support budgeting and forecasting activities related to technology IT procurement and vendor spend.
Provide oversight to ensure compliance with internal controls, regulatory requirements, and audit standards.
About You
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Supply Chain, or related field; MBA or relevant certification (e.g., ITIL, CPM, CIPS) preferred.
5–8+ years of experience in IT vendor management, procurement, sourcing, or contract management.
