Senior Accountant (Remote)

Job Description

LegalMatch Philippines is looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our Finance team. This is a hands-on senior individual contributor role focused on execution, accuracy, and delivery rather than people management or executive authority. You will support complex accounting operations in a growing SaaS environment, working closely with U.S.-based stakeholders to help ensure financial integrity, compliance, and dependable reporting. 

This role is designed for a strong operator who values ownership, clear communication, and collaboration in a flat, cross-functional environment. 

Responsibilities:

• Perform hands-on general accounting work to support day-to-day finance operations 
• Prepare, maintain, and support recurring financial reports, including semi-monthly reports 
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data across systems and reports 
• Demonstrate understanding of reconciliations and support financial data accuracy when needed 
• Provide ad hoc accounting support to finance leadership as business needs evolve 
• Work closely with U.S.-based stakeholders during overlapping hours to support timely decisions 
• Communicate progress clearly, including timelines, risks, and capacity 
• Proactively clarify expectations and deliverables with stakeholders 
• Identify and suggest improvements to accounting processes, documentation, and efficiency 
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Sales Ops, Analytics) when financial coordination is required

Requirements

• 5–7 years of professional experience in U.S. Accounting
• 5–7 years of experience with Revenue Recognition
• 5–7 years of exposure to SaaS accounting environments
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
• High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Proven ability to manage deliverables independently with minimal supervision
• Clear written and verbal communication skills
• Familiarity with banking workflows (e.g., ACH processing, wires, funding cycles, payroll funding) is a plus, but not a core responsibility
• Willing to work a shift aligned with U.S. hours (1:00 AM – 9:00 AM PH time), with flexibility for occasional early meetings as needed. 
• Ability to work from a secure, private environment suitable for handling sensitive financial systems and data
