Role Overview

We are supporting a global SaaS product in the media intelligence / social data analytics domain, used by enterprise customers to monitor, analyze, and act on large volumes of real-time content.

The team is launching a new chatbot-driven experience within an existing mobile application. This is an early-stage initiative where architectural decisions made now will define scalability, performance, and long-term maintainability.

The client has an established mobile team (Android & iOS), but limited experience on the React Native side, and is looking for a senior, hands-on engineer who can take ownership of this part of the product and move fast.

As a Senior React Native Engineer, you will lead the development of the React Native layer for a new chatbot feature. You will be a key technical driver in the early phase, setting foundations, unblocking the team, and enabling others to build on top of your work.

This role requires someone who can hit the ground running, make sound architectural decisions, and operate with high autonomy in a fast-moving environment.

Duration: 3-6 months

Location: Remote/Hybrid in Mexico

Key Responsibilities

• Own and build the React Native architecture for a new chatbot-focused area of the mobile app
• Rapidly deliver MVP-quality code while ensuring scalability and clean foundations
• Collaborate closely with existing Android and iOS engineers, bridging mobile and React Native development
• Make pragmatic technical decisions under time pressure and evolving requirements
• Act as the go-to React Native expert for the team, with others leaning heavily on your guidance
• Prepare the product for early executive-level demos and presentations

Requirements

• Strong, senior-level experience with React Native in production environments
• Solid understanding of mobile application architecture and cross-platform trade-offs
• Proven ability to work independently and take ownership in early-stage product work
• Experience building scalable foundations, not just features
• Comfortable moving fast, iterating, and working with incomplete requirements
• Strong communication skills when working with non-React Native mobile teams

Nice to Have

• Experience working on chatbot, conversational UI, or AI-assisted products
• Background in SaaS, data-heavy, or analytics platforms
• Exposure to MVP builds that later scaled into core product areas
