Roofr is hiring a Social Media Specialist to help run our social channels, support content creation, and be the social face of Roofr. The person in this role will be responsible for growing awareness of our products, engaging with customers online, and growing our brand. 

What You'll Get To Do:

  • Manage all social media channels including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, X (Twitter), YouTube. This includes planning and creating each post with the assistance of designers.
  • Plan our social media calendar (7-10 weekly posts per channel) on a monthly basis, including video creation, art direction, caption writing and visual creation
  • Get creative with converting blogs, webinars, and other content into social posts
  • Report social metrics on a weekly basis
  • Create weekly recommendations based on data and company goals to update and improve our social posts and strategy
  • Create reels and short form videos based on trends, relevant topics, and roofing subtopics
  • Travel to trade shows and Roofr hosted events across Canada and USA to capture content (passport required)
  • Promptly respond to comments and messages on all social channels to answer questions and keep users engaged
  • Edit videos using Descript and CapCut
  • Review high engagement social posts and recommend posts to boost for more visibility and increased reach
  • Work with the Marketing team to ensure timely and creative posts for campaigns, product launches, events, special announcements, hiring, etc.
  • Craft and create quarterly social media campaigns for all channels
  • Manage our LinkTree and update based on product launches, events, etc.
  • Strategize, plan, and execute on social media contests 
  • Liaison with our champion users and general roofers in Facebook groups and via email to keep them engaged
  • Assist in managing our Masterclasses (webinars), Roofr of the Month campaign, and other content strategies
  • Work with the Sr Content Manager to create and execute our social media strategy and content plan
  • Manage weekly sprints (Asana) and internal library (Notion), keeping them up to date on a daily basis
  • Additional content and social media ad-hoc work as required

What You'll Bring to the Role:

  • Bachelors degree in marketing, communications, public relations, or business
  • 2+ years of experience as a social media coordinator or specialist 
  • A killer personal social media presence and/or proven experience growing a professional social media account
  • Creativity, imagination, humor, and attention to detail
  • Comfortable putting your face online for the Roofr brand
  • Experience or significant interest in roofing, technology, or construction (preferred, but not required)

Compensation: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 CAD
