Tŝilhqot’in National Government is an organization established in 1989 to represent the Tŝilhqot’in Nation and communities such as Tl’etinqox, ʔEsdilagh, Yuneŝit’in, Tŝideldel, Tl’esqox, and Xeni Gwet’in. It focuses on re-establishing a strong political government structure, affirming Tŝilhqot’in Aboriginal Rights and Title, and reflecting Tŝilhqot’in culture and customs in its governance. The organization is deeply involved in various areas including governance, language and cultural preservation, education, resource management, fisheries, forestry, and monitoring of impacts from mining. It also provides community services like health solutions, status card issuance, and employment training. Additionally, the government engages in conservation efforts, emergency preparedness, and the promotion of Tŝilhqot’in businesses and tourism. They operate a radio station to support language revitalization and provide a platform for Indigenous issues.
