Thousand Currents is a registered 501(c)(3) charity that supports bold solutions for climate, food, and economic justice by moving resources to grassroots movements in the Global South. For nearly four decades, Thousand Currents has invested more than $31 million in over 1,000 grassroots and movement formations. The organization values collective power and change, developing long-term relationships with visionary grassroots movements led by women, youth, Black, Afro-descent, and Indigenous Peoples. Thousand Currents influences philanthropic giving towards climate justice, economic systems based on ecological regeneration, and food sovereignty, putting communities at the center of decision-making regarding food systems and policies.
