MoveOn aims to affect change through mobilizing communities, creating petitions, campaigns, and events. It operates through two distinct branches: MoveOn. org Civic Action, a nonpartisan 501(c)(4) organization, and MoveOn. org Political Action, a federal political committee. The organization is active in political campaigns and works to influence election outcomes in alignment with its values.
