About Community Change

Community Change is a national organization that empowers low-income people, particularly people of color, to foster a multiracial democracy and fair economy where everyone can flourish. Founded in 1968, emerging from the civil rights, labor, and anti-poverty movements, Community Change collaborates with over 150 grassroots groups across more than 40 states to drive significant societal transformations. Alongside its sister organization, Community Change Action, it is dedicated to building community power and enacting real and lasting change.
