About College Advising Corps

College Advising Corps is an organization dedicated to helping historically marginalized students overcome barriers to higher education. They partner with universities across the United States to place recent college graduates as near-peer advisers in under-resourced high schools. These advisers assist students in achieving their postsecondary goals, whether that involves attending community college, a four-year institution, trade school, or entering military service. By placing advisers in low-income communities where guidance departments are often understaffed, the organization aims to provide equitable access to educational opportunities and close the gap between students from high- and low-income families. College Advising Corps' efforts have significantly increased college enrollment and financial aid support for students across the country.
